The Defense Production Act Title I Office provides direction, guidance, and oversight for the Defense Production Act Title I and Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) within the Department of Defense and delegate agencies. Specifically, we ensure the timely availability of industrial resources to meet national defense and emergency preparedness requirements. The Department of Defense implements DPA Title I through the Defense Priorities & Allocations System (DPAS) to prioritize defense orders in support of programs of the highest national urgency that have demonstrated a need within the Industrial Base, ensuring programs experiencing disruption receive the appropriate prioritization to meet their program objectives in day to day operations and national emergencies.
The DPAI Title I team is comprised of DPAS subject matter experts with both international and domestic knowledge that assist program offices, suppliers, other government agencies, and partner nations when circumstances arise in which there are competing requirements at one or more vendors for a limited industrial resource.
