Through prioritization, incentivization, and resource allocation, MCEIP supports domestic industry with direct engagements and investments.

What We Do
The U.S. Defense Industrial Base (DIB) has significant supply chain vulnerabilities. Industrial supply chains are increasingly complex and global, which results in a dependency on overseas vendors’ products and strategic raw materials. Furthermore, constraints in material processing capacity and labor skill sets also have significant impacts to production capacity. The MCEIP office is executing a nested investment approach in support of the National Defense Strategy (NDS) and is investing in both major and sub tier suppliers to mitigate supply chain risks previously identified by PA&T and other stakeholders. The MCEIP office oversees the execution of the Defense Production Act Investments (DPAI) and Innovation Capability and Modernization (ICAM) portfolios, utilizing all available authorities to address the challenge and incentivize industry.
Who We Are
MCEIP is comprised of highly experienced subject matter experts across a wide variety of investment areas, acquisition professionals with collectively over 150 years of expertise, skilled program managers, data analytics and audit professionals, and financial managers with extensive knowledge of DoD financial regulations. The office also has partners and detailed employees with specialized experience from the interagency.
