Industrial Base Resilience

WHAT WE DO | IBR analyzes the industrial base to identify critical gaps and makes targeted investments to build new capabilities and secure capacity, all while partnering directly with industry. This integrated approach accelerates the delivery of solutions that empower the warfighter.

To build, secure, and sustain a resilient industrial base to empower the warfighter, deter adversaries, and ensure our nation's readiness for any challenge.

Warfighting, Investments, Resourcing, and Execution (WIRE)

WIRE leverages the Defense Production Act (DPA) and Industrial Base Fund (IBF) authorities to invest in major and sub-tier suppliers to mitigate critical supply chain risks.

Industrial Planning and Analysis (IPA)

IPA monitors industrial base trends and uses data-driven analysis to identify supply chain vulnerabilities. From these insights, we develop policies, brief senior leaders, and collaborate with our allies to build a more resilient and compliant industrial ecosystem.

Industry Affairs (IA)

IA serves as the Department's bridge to the private sector, providing corporate and market analysis to accelerate results and support leadership engagement with the industrial base.
